Wanderlust Therapy LLC

A new full-time private practice is bringing a fresh perspective on mental health to the Grand Strand area.

After six years of part-time work, Jennifer Cangeme the founder of Wanderlust Therapy LLC  is now fully dedicated to her practice, with a mission to help individuals and couples navigate life's challenges.

Specializing in counseling and coaching, the founder focuses on personal development and helping clients achieve their goals to become "a better version of themselves."

Her practice caters primarily to women aged 20 to 50 who are struggling with life transitions. "I love working with women going through life transitions and how we navigate it and how we create a more positive story out of whatever hardship we're going through," she said.

Beyond one-on-one sessions, the founder also offers a variety of workshops.

The "Last 90 Day Challenge" for women, is scheduled for September 20th. The workshop is designed to help participants define a goal they want to accomplish by the end of the year and create an actionable plan with built-in accountability. Other workshops cover topics like self-care, boundaries, and attachment theory.

Jennifer also dedicates a significant part of her practice to marriage counseling, emphasizing a proactive approach. "I just wish that people did it more proactively than reactively," she stated, noting that early intervention can save couples from the financial and emotional toll of divorce. With a direct and "no-sugar-coating" style, she aims to push clients toward change rather than letting them "enable themselves to stay stuck."

Myrtle Beach has eased several beach rules following the end of summer, making it easier for locals and tourists to enjoy the coastal experience.

As of right after Labor Day, dogs are welcome on the sand and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk at all hours, provided they stay leashed and owners clean up after them.

Bicycles are also allowed on both the beach and boardwalk with no time restrictions, giving cyclists added freedom in the off-season.

Beachgoers can now set up tents and canopies up to 12 by 12 feet, as long as they are placed in line with or behind the current umbrella row to keep views clear and ensure safety.

These relaxed rules are in place until May 1, with bans on alcohol and fires still enforced year-round.

Everyone is encouraged to stay updated on local regulations and make the most of Myrtle Beach’s quieter season.
