Trivia Question❓

What popular tourist attraction in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina features over 350 replicas of famous landmarks from around the world?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Grandpa Moustache

Award Winning Cheesecake!

Grandpa Moustache

5-Star Fabulous

Last week, I decided to give some love to NMB.

I LOVE cheesecake! Go inside any FB group and ask where to get the best cheesecake in Myrtle Beach, and the answer is You gotta try Grandpa Moustache!

Located at 3326 Hwy 17 S, North Myrtle Beach, it's easy to find. It's in the North Village Center and just around the corner from Good Will and the Dollar General (although in SC, EVERYTHING is by the Dollar General LOL)

While I was sampling some of his cheesecake, Pete AKA Grandpa Moustache told me about all of the ribbons that were on display.

After retiring from the police force in Brooklyn, he moved to Little River and opened up his bakery in North Myrtle Beach.

Being from New York, with New Jersey as it's neighbor, he found out that there was one person that dominated the cheesecake competition at the New Jersey State Fair.

He decided to enter it. And he won! And that began his collection of awards for his sumptuous cheesecake!

Although he is the face and the 'moustache' behind the brand, he has some of his family to help him out. His wife June, and his son Rob, who handles the online aspect of the business.

Pete said that his best seller is the classic plain cheesecake, but he has a lot of other flavors. One of the flavors I sampled was the key lime. It was the perfect blend of sweet, tart and creamy.

Ultimately I decided to purchase the Bailey's Irish Cream Cheesecake and it did NOT disappoint!

The next time you are craving something sweet, make sure to visit!

Joke Of The Day

Why did the Myrtle Beach local cross the street?
Trick question. They never left their air-conditioned car.

.The OFFICIAL Marketing Partner of Myrtle Beach Pulse

Presto Marketing Group

This is going to be an interesting local business spotlight. This article is going to be performing a double duty. Local business spotlight AND a brief introduction to the editor, Courtney Kostelecky, and founder of Myrtle Beach Pulse.

Originally from North Dakota, Courtney's dream job was to be a professional magician. After graduating high school in 84' only four years later, he achieved that goal and dream.

He has performed his act across the United States at comedy clubs, colleges, fairs, festivals, corporate events, tradeshows, and even elementary and high schools.

At one point, he did over 400 shows in a year!

As much as he loved performing, the constant travel became a bit much.

He decided to get a 'job.' and pursue performing part time. He worked numerous jobs from managing a software store, and a a sports card and comic book store. After leaving he world of retail sales, he was hired by Microsoft for an inside sales position.

During his tenure at Microsoft, he was informed that he was about to lose his PTO vacation time. With only two weeks to plan a vacation, he decided to go to Puerto Rico, to see a rock concert. RUSH.

That experience led him to write a #1 best selling travel guide about Puerto Rico, and eventually relocating to the island in 2014.

In 2011, he 'officially' started his marketing and advertising agency. Presto Marketing Group.

Presto Marketing Group has a variety of clients. Although he's worked and consulted with major business like SportForumula99 (The first company to take fresh fruits and vegetable and put them in a powder)and even a Shark Tank (tm) company - PRX Performance he really enjoys working with local businesses.

He's trained thousands of other marketers with some of his courses and consulting. I'm very proud of the fact that besides working with local business owners, other marketers trust and value my skills and hire me to work on their campaigns or for some of their clients.

The former vice president of GoDaddy said, "Courtney is one of the few marketers I follow online."

After living in Puerto Rico for almost a decade, he moved back to North Dakota to be closer to friends and family. The chilly fall was a harbinger of he frigid winter weather that was about to appear.   A few months later he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC.

There is so much to do and so many great businesses and restaurants, that he decided to create Myrtle Beach Pulse.

Shortly after moving, he receive an email telling him that his marketing agency was named one of the top 10 marketing agencies in North Dakota~

For nearly five years, downtown Myrtle Beach residents, business owners, and vacationers have struggled without a full-service grocery store within walking distance.

The closure of Food Lion off Highway 501 during the pandemic created a major gap, making fresh and affordable food tough to access in the city center.

The closest option, Piggly Wiggly on Kings Highway, is roughly a 20-minute walk from downtown, while Walmart locations are even farther.

City leaders are working with retail strategists to attract new grocery stores and redevelop vacant properties.

United Way of Horry County calls the area a food desert, stressing the barriers for those without reliable transportation.

Local business owners report ongoing demand from customers for a nearby grocery option.

Officials are gathering public input through a community survey, as efforts continue and downtown’s population grows.

Even though South Carolina produces more peaches than Georgia, it's hard to find a recipe that isn't cobbler or pie. This article provides a recipe for Honey Peach Breakfast Oats for One, a quick and easy breakfast option that can be made in minutes.

The recipe calls for oats, milk, honey, peaches, and cinnamon, and can be customized with additional toppings like nuts or seeds.

The oats are cooked on the stove with the ingredients until thick and creamy, then topped with sliced peaches for a sweet and satisfying morning meal.

The recipe is perfect for busy mornings when a healthy and delicious breakfast is needed.
